A closer look at the voice, vision, and purpose behind the poems.
Nicholas Sitso Kwashi Amessouwoe; also known as RAMJIN SPC is a young Ghanaian writer, poet, and published author. He is from Aflao, a small town in the Volta Region of Ghana. Nicholas loves putting words together to put people together. His love for poetry and literature was spotted as early as he was eight. This inspired his dad to name him after the renowned Senegalese late president and poet Leopold Sedar Senghor.
Though he has been a science student for the greater part of his academic journey, Nicholas claimed to have been born into the prestigious universe of Arts before getting married to the Sciences. His first book Ramjin Poems was published in 2020 immediately after he completed his Senior High School at Bishop Herman College in Kpando, Volta Region, Ghana. He was then awarded the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship in 2021 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy at USIU-Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.
Nicholas is also passionate about leadership and has assumed several leadership positions including the Electoral College Representative of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Ghanaian Community Chairperson at USIU-Africa for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Besides being an art, science, and leadership enthusiast, Nicholas loves Sports, and he is a big fan of the beautiful game, football. He also loves teaching and helping others. He believes the greatest glory of the human constellation is to shake hands with our polished purposes and bring the best out of any environment, both natural and man-made.
He is currently working towards becoming the greatest best version of his greatest best self: the Einstein of Literature.
